Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an Arminian?

I’m not an Arminian since they believe salvation can be lost once you have it.

Why do you have Facebook friends with unbelievers and who some might consider heretics?

My Facebook account exists for the purpose of witnessing to people on Facebook.  How could I do that if all my Facebook friends are believers?

While it is true the concept of Facebook is to connect with “friends” most of them are not really “friends” in the sense I talk with them daily, or have spiritual fellowship with them in real life.  Some are true believers, some not.

I am merely using Facebook as a platform to spread the gospel to all.  I do not defriend anyone since the gospel is for everyone.  Many diverse people are on my Facebook friends list and I do not share spiritual statuses from anyone that contain information which would exalt itself against the knowledge of God.

I have hundreds of contacts on my friends list.  Assuming I agree with all the beliefs of everyone on my Facebook friends list because they are on the list is just that…ASSUMPTION.  I don’t personally fellowship with people on Facebook and Facebook isn’t a church setting.

Christians are supposed to spread the seed of the gospel and I find Facebook a good platform for doing this.  I also find youtube to be of help in this regard too, and some subscribers to my youtube channel may not be Christians so should I reject them or instruct them the ways of salvation?

I find the majority of complaints about me having non-Christian friends on Facebook are from Calvinists, who sometimes defriend others on Facebook who disagree with them, surrounding themselves with people who only tell them what they want to hear.

Not all Calvinists do this but many do.

Do you believe you can lose your salvation?

No, I don’t believe the bible teaches a person who is born again can lose their salvation later on in life through their own actions or inactions.

As an example the bible describes salvation as an “inheritance” and 1 Peter 1:4-5 teaches salvation does not fade away, is kept by God’s power (not your power), is reserved in heaven for you.

1 Peter 1:4-5
4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

A majority of the time people who believe salvation can be lost interpret bible verses out of context to justify a believer’s salvation can be lost.  Typically, people who do this misinterpret verses referring to SERVING the Lord with SALVATION and vice versa.  Salvation and service do not mix.  Salvation is a one time event based on GRACE, service to the Lord is for a lifetime and its based on WORKS.

For example, some people misinterpret Hebrews 5:9 to be teaching a believer must obey Christ throughout their life otherwise they won’t be saved in the end.

Hebrews 5:9
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who OBEY HIM,

However, the context is referring to SALVATION, not SERVICE.  A person is saved when they “obey the gospel” by BELIEVING the gospel.   Those who are not saved have NOT OBEYED the Gospel (Romans 10:16, 1 Peter 4:17, 2 Thessalonians 1:8) which is to believe on Christ (John 6:40).

The bible teaches a believer can lose faith later in life either by false teachers.  In some cases  abeliever is immature in the faith so they don’t grow as they should, or because they are persecuted or cares and worries of this life take them over.

However, if they truly believed the gospel at the start they are saved.  Salvation is not by perseverance in the faith, which is works, its by grace, which is a free gift.  Salvation and works do not mix (Romans 11:6).

Do you believe Baptism is required for salvation or Baptism saves?

No I do not believe Baptism serves that purpose.  Baptism is a symbol to show you have been forgiven of your sins, nothing more.

It is important to do since Christ commands it, but not for the purpose of saving a soul from hell.

What is your testimony?

You can read about it here.

Are you representing a local church when witnessing?

No, I do not represent a physical local church when witnessing mainly because we go all over Missouri to different cities.  If I am witnessing 100 miles away from the church I attend I cannot tell a person to go to my church since its impractical.  I’m confident God will guide them to a local church in their area.

What about discipleship?

I will help anyone we meet through email or other correspondence to teach them all things commanded of them by Christ or suggest a local church near them that could help.

Do you attend a church?

Yes, I attend a local church in my area.

This blog site has many articles on the occult, shouldn’t a Christian be more concerned mostly with what Christ is doing rather than what the enemy is doing?

I came from Catholicism and from the occult so I try to specialize in what I know to help others.

There is a popular myth that in order to know a counterfeit $100 dollar bill you must be familiar with the real one so much that when a fake shows up you can spot it.  This is not actually what they do to find a counterfeit.  They study both the original and the counterfeit.

Some people who call themselves Christians are duped because they don’t realize the worship methods they are doing is what the pagan nations did and God doesn’t approve of that.

God does not accept all forms of worship even if the worshiper is sincere.  He wants us to worship Him as HE WANTS IT, not as WE WANT IT.
